He is both tragic and comic, an immoral scoundrel yet a lovable friend: Sir John Falstaff, a Knight, intelligent punster, and drunkard, does not destroy the normal order of things, but he does call it into question. With this figure, Shakespeare embraced the richness of human nature and included Falstaff in several of his plays. ‘Endless Falstaff’ examines with youthful eyes and voices this embodiment of »betweenfulness« who dances on the border between life and death, between the present and the past.
